CNC 5-Axis Milling
CNC 5-Axis Milling, similar to CNC routing is a manufacturing process that employs computer numerical control (CNC) machines to create intricate and complex plastic parts. This process is typically used for tight-tolerance parts with complex geometries and multi-sided features. The 5 axis machines can approach the workpiece from any direction, allowing for 5-sided machining in one setup which offers advantages such as reduced fixture setup and preparation, improved part accuracy, and superior surface finish.
